101 Year old woman becomes world’s oldest Abseiler

Doris Long descended 100 meters down the side of the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth, UK this past Sunday and become the world’s oldest abseiler in the process. She is a great-great grandmother who began abseiling after she turned 85 and took up her first abseiling challenge in the month of May last year on her 100th birthday. She has raised more than $10,000 thanks to her abseiling feats and she wants to take on the tower again, preferably on her 102nd birthday. She stated that abseiling down the Portsmouth tower was very difficult and required a lot of hard work.
